Building a distinctive cross-border e-commerce industry belt to help enterprises seize new opportunities for cross-border e-commerce development

On May 16th, in order to promote industrial belt enterprises to go global through cross-border e-commerce, the "2024 Cross border E-commerce+Industrial Belt - High end Textile Special Session" was jointly hosted by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Municipal E-commerce Association, the Wuxi Textile Industry Association, the Wuxi Cross border E-commerce Industrial Belt Service Center, Jinmao Foreign Trade Company, Suzhou Dahaixing Orange Network Technology Co., Ltd., and Amazon Global Store Opening. More than 50 representatives from member units such as Xie Zhigang, President of Wuxi Textile Industry Association, Jinmao, Wansi, Hongdou, Taiping Knitting, Shuanglida, and Fushi Clothing attended the meeting.

President Xie Zhigang first gave a speech on "Sharing the situation of high-end textile digitalization and e-commerce", using the words "stabilizing quantity and improving quality" to review and introduce various indicators of the development of Wuxi's textile industry in the past five years. He also introduced some cases of Wuxi's textile enterprises that have achieved good digital transformation. For a large number of traditional manufacturing and foreign trade enterprises facing various severe challenges such as weak external demand and declining orders, transformation is currently an important issue. Textile enterprises must achieve "digitalization, greening, intelligence, and branding" development in the future, and cross-border e-commerce is one of the important transformation levers. Subsequently, Chairman Yang Nan and attending representatives of our company shared our "Practice and Experience of Global Textile Supply Chain". In response to various risks and challenges in global layout, such as global political instability, cultural differences among countries, inability to keep up with production and logistics, currency exchange rate fluctuations, and changes in government attitudes and customs tax policies, Jinmao Company actively took preventive and response measures, implementing strategies such as "digitalization of production management, globalization of quality management, localization of personnel management, and refinement of financial management". Since 2000, Jinmao Company has continued to expand and improve the global textile supply chain, continuously enhancing its competitiveness. At the meeting, the senior manager of Amazon's global store opening and the operation manager of the cross-border e-commerce professional operation platform, Da Hai Xing Orange, shared a detailed explanation of Amazon's textile operation methods based on the current situation in the textile industry, explained Amazon's new seller support policies, product selection suggestions, and successful cases. The Wuxi branch of Bank of Ningbo introduced the "High end Textile Industry Financial Service Plan" to help and enhance the cross-border e-commerce business of high-end textile enterprises. In the future, the Wuxi E-commerce Association, the Wuxi Textile Industry Association, and the e-commerce operation platform will continue to closely integrate the coordinated development of industrial belts, help more traditional manufacturing industries leverage their supply chain advantages, and effectively enhance the level of cross-border e-commerce development.
